Wang Yeyao, male, Han ethnicity, was born in May 1965 and is from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. He joined the Communist Party of China in September 2003. He holds a PhD.

He started his career in April 1989, and became a doctoral candidate in Tsinghua University in September 1991, while he also served as a teaching assistant and lecturer.

In July 1995, he entered the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences.

In 2002, he served as Assistant to Director General of Chongqing Environmental Protection Bureau on secondment.

In 2003, he entered the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences as a researcher and was appointed Director General and Deputy Chief Engineer of Science and Technology Division in 2005.

In 2006, he was appointed doctoral supervisor in Beijing Normal University.

In April 2007, he was appointed Vice President of Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences.

In June 2009, he was appointed Deputy Director General of China National Environmental Monitoring Centre.
